How to Part with a PC?

So I've been trying to get rid of my Brayden Schenn PC for quite some time now.

First, I tried a BiN/BO on eBay and got no hits. Then I put it up for an auction for a starting price a little bit over half of what I have into it, and again, no hits.

My question is, am I stuck with these cards? I'm not worried about getting all my money back and I know that I'm going to lose quite a bit. What's my best option to get rid of it, bulk or piece by piece?

If nothing else, I guess I'll hold onto it, but I could definitely use the cash...

Piece by piece is the best way to go. If you list them as a lot, you narrowed your market down to just a Brayden Schenn collector where as piece by piece, you will have set collectors, high end collectors, Schenn collectors, Philly and LA collectors, etc. You just have way more options going piece by piece. I know it's time consuming but it will be worth it in the end. Just my thoughts from past experiences.

If your honestly looking to get what you paid for them a few years ago it will never happen .....unless its another Schenn collector some people only want the players in the uni of their current team and all his big rookie stuff is LA

As a Flyers' fan and watching him play in the round 1 playoff series, it doesn't look good for him. If he can have a breakout year next season then his value would go up again...but I'm not holding my breath. Until something like that happens, if you part ways with the collection, it might have to be at a fraction of what you intially paid.

The kid is only 22 years old and did have a 20 goal season this year, wouldn't give up on just yet......if I were you I would wait unless you're ok with taking the hit.

Toss it up for trade and see if you can get something in return that might be a little easier to sell. It might mean a little work and trading in their favor, but you might do better this way.

Based on my own experience be prepared to take a large hit; especially if you accumulated most of your cards during his RC year when prices were arguably at its highest. I don't follow Schenn's all that much, but as golgo13 mentioned it's better to wait til next season and hope that he rebounds. Otherwise, if you have to sell now, do it all as singles to minimize your losses.

Like you guys said, I know that I'm going to take a huge hit by dumping it now. I'm not getting rid of it because I don't believe in him (I definitely still do), but I just don't have the time or money to compete anymore. A new baby definitely soaks up any extra resources I may have had.

I have just started checking in on some of his cards on eBay, and thankfully, he hasn't had much stuff come out recently. That will definitely make it easier to get back into it if I decide to later.

Looks like I'll try to trade some of it now, and if I can't move anything, I'll hope he has a 50 goal year next season.

I feel for ya. I am starting to sell my PC as well. I'm a set collector, not a player collector, so I'm faced with moving sets at a steep discount or parting it out.
