How weakly was 2003-04 YD Series 2 broken?

I didn't collect UD's flagship sets that season so I don't have any direct knowledge of how well Series 2 was received. Given its weak rookie class - and people must have known how weak it was at the time - did it sell well? Or is there a ton of this still lying around unopened? What becomes of the wax from an unpopular set?

It's Upper Deck even though it was weak it was still opened in decent quantities however there was less printed than it's Series 1 countepart.

I think that is has been lightly broken. I've only seen a copy or two of the patches of my guys #/15 that I have been looking for. Then again, they might all be in the same case....
