Hello Everyone,
Came home from work today to six bubble mailers
Nothing makes me happier than coming home to more than two mailers. Now since tomorrow is Tuesday I will not get a single mailer (have not for the last 6 weeks) so I figure I would make a mail call post for what I pulled in today. It is an awesome day because I get to go to 5 of my six player collections albums (Including one baseball album)
First Card and last card come from one of our friends Magootz
2002-03 Titanium Patch Khabibulin and 2003-04 Prism Patch Khabibulin the Prism completes the Khabibulin Prism collection (all 5 cards) and the Titanium leaves me with one card from that (Titanium Base Set Retail). Thank you for the great deal I really appreciate the additions to my collections.
The card in the middle of row number one is a Topps Finest Mark Bell Refractor, limited to 150 copies this card has been a thorn in my wifes side, found it on ebay so she will be happy when she gets home.
The card in the second row on the left side is a Black Diamond Threads Red /50 Kyle Calder. Never seen one before found it on ebay for a decent price. Another card for the wifes player collection.
The two Dionnes are also for the wifes collection, one is a Legacy Ultimate Parallel and the other is a legendary collection gold parallel Dionne. As some of you know she is related down the line to Marcel and Gilbert and that is why she collects their cards.
The card on the top right hand corner of the scan is a 2005 Topps Total Press Plate front Black Brad Hawpe 1/1. I use to collect Larry Walker, but I stopped when I went to college in 1998 and that is when everything exploded. He has over 3600 cards listed on Beckett.com
Just to put that number into prespective, Wayne Gretzky has only 4070 cards listed on Beckett.com. For those who don't collect Baseball that should tell you how over-saturated the baseball market is. Since I do enjoy listening to the background noise that is baseball I decided I would collect another Rockies Right Fielder named Brad Hawpe, it makes the game more enjoyable to watch when you collect a player in that sport. Just incase anyone wanted to know Brad Hawpe only has 31 cards total with 17 of them coming in 2005 products. I only paid $14.00 for the 1/1 card delivered, not a bad price for a 1/1. I only need 7 more 1/1's from the 2005 Topps Total.
Thanks for the look,
Shawn
