Paul Maurice has been fired as well this morning rumors has it Kirk Muller will tak e his place.

Great move for the Canes.

Habs fans are going to be very displeased over this. It's bad enough that Captain Kirk got away, but now he's going to be direct competition. Power play has been awful this year without him.

In 29 other markets you are absolutely correct. However, there is a very small but very vocal portion of the French-language media that will bray to the heavens if the Habs hire a unilingual anglophone behind the bench. We're talking about the same group of people that continually castigated Saku Koivu for years because he couldn't be bothered to learn a 4th language and speak French during his lengthy tenure as captain.
