I Sold My Dream Card

I'll admit I'm also thinking about selling my Spezza collection on my part, but I'd need a really good reason to do it. I've recently gotten bored with it, but I think it's better to slow down and stop for a while before being really sure you want to get rid of it. Once it's gone, it's never coming back. If you don't seriously need the money (unlike me), then where's the rush in selling?

If I were to sell my PC, it would be either to pay for my last year of university, go on a trip to Europe or something very important like that. It is taking a lot of room, but quite frankly most of the room is occupied by base cards and inserts rather than actual Spezza cards. So my solution, outside money, would be to sell off the rest and keep the Spezza PC intact.

My point is, if you don't have a really good reason to sell it, just store it away for a while and get back to it if ever you feel like it. If you can use the money for something you're sure you'd want more, then sell it.

In my opinion it was a close to a draw but I think Hextallk has the best smack and he threw more, he also had to skate the whole length of the ice. Maybe where he got cut you could give that point to Potvin.

On a positive note it was the highlight of Potvin's career!

1. You have not sold your card yet as I see, so dont jinx yourself
2. You have an error in the listning. Its says "Possibly the greatest moment for Felix Potvin fans when he took on the fierce Ron Hextall and WHOPPED him into submission" - Hextall did not submit to anything nor did he get whopped. That is a fabrication in the description of your item :D

I like the card but just those 2 jersey swatches dont do it for me. Good luck and sorry you have to sell it.

When he was with the Kings he did get in a fight with Jani Hurme (Senators)

Yeah, that's not the one I am thinking of. I remember reading about a minor league fight in the aftermath of the whole Hextall thing. I mean, lets face it, when Hextall started down the ice, us Leaf fans thought it was going to be the death of poor Felix.

can't say i've had anything like that since i don't actively sell cards but if i ever moved some of my PCs in the future, there are still a few cards that would be considered "untouchable" unless i was made a redonkulously ludicrous offer. and by redonkulously ludicrous, i mean enough for me to retire on.

Well Said!!

Picture of Hextall just after the fight with Potvin. I remember watching it just like it was last night, that is the potvin fan/collector in me. I think everyone in the building and watching (especially hextall) was very surprised at how well potvin did in that fight, he certainly held is own and di just as well as Hextall did.

Cat scratch fever....go FELIX haha

Oh. Felix handled himself well, no one can argue that; probably the only guy to ever get a solid shot in on Hextall. But that was far from a "whooping" and hextall kept throwing throughout. Nice fight, nice card.

Don't sell it. You'll always regret it. Even though you don't have the passion for cards right now, it can easily be rekindled, and that's when the regret will hit. Keep that card, if you sell everything else, just as a reminder of the fun you had, and the fun you could still have again. :)

If you don't need the money then I say hang onto it. If you want you can store it at my house until you start collecting him again:)
