Previous thread (link here: http://hobbyinsider.net/forum/showthread.php?p=2578231#post2578231) kinda slipped away as I missed updating it for nearly a month. I've still be plugging away at my collection of BGS 9.5 90's cards... but I also veered off in the 80's and some early 00's Young Guns. Anyways here we go, its been a busy month!
I'll start off with my Young Gun pickups.... I could start to see that these 3 cards were dipping in price (about 6 weeks ago) so I snatched up copies of all of them. On top of that the Kane is criminally undervalued considering the career he's put together.
Buying the Crosby and Ovie at these prices sucked, since I sold my pack pulled raw copies back in August before I was sucked back into the hobby, they were both super gem mint and were easy Gem Mints. Oh well, live and learn!
And then based on the idea that this guy gets into the hall one day I figured I better grab a Luongo Black Diamond 9.5. I love this set. Matches up nicely with the one Sedin 9.5 I already have. Have the other Sedin at Beckett now getting graded (hoping for a 9.5) and on the lookout for Lecavalier, Elias and Tanguay.
Grabbed another copy of Konstantinov Red Army (seller also had a Fedorov and Irbe Red Army that I got sniped at the last second). Was planning on it being a package deal for the 3 but ended up with just this card. Sucks cause that Fedorov Red Army is super tough to track down.
Next up I've finished up my OPC Premier rookie collection by grabbing Roenick, Joseph and Sundin. The last 3 major ones I needed. Still on the lookout for Bondra I suppose. Will have to grab a photo of them all together, such an awesome set.
Then I couldn't resist grabbing a couple more Jagr OPC's... luckily I got these right before they exploded in price the last couple weeks. Will tuck the PSA 10 away for a while I think.
Then I went older.....
Shanahan OPC BGS 8.5 to pair up with my Brett Hull BGS 9
A Luc Robataille BGS 9 that I got for a steal on ebay. He was a beauty in the 90's.
Another Yzerman (this time a BGS 8.5 Topps) to pair with my OPC BGS 8.5's. Am I the only one that likes pairing my OPC's with Topps in the same grade? What OCD haha.
And last up another Mario, this time a Topps PSA 8. I am buying any Lemieux that I come across that is priced affordably. His rookie cards are straight fire right now.
Have a couple other cards tied up in shipping that I'll update with as they arrive.
2020 (which was really only August to now for me) has been crazy. Gonna slow down in 21' and get stuff sorted and filed and continue to sell off duplicates and lower grade/raw copies.
