but would they be a mixture of signed & unsigned SPA & Cup cards? would you have interest in an unsigned Tavares FW patch for example? and what if they didn't get released until 2010-11 or 2011-12?

Nope...UD Black would probably be the one everybody would chase. But Ryan is right. The majority of the cards have already been fabricated probably, especially the SPA, which is what would likely become the biggie.

forgot about black! shoot. Have all the /99s returned their letters or just some? Because if there's no Tavares or Duchene or Hedman... and no new sets come out... does that mean there's no hardsigned RC?
I ask because I'm not so sure about unreleased sets though. Would people really want half signed/unsigned stuff? Without set collectors, the values would diminish drastically.

This stuff is done months in advance. I'm most of everything is all ready to go, it's just getting it packed out and released. If Tavares has SPx auto RCs already, chances are he got a big box of stuff to autograph (999 SPA RCs, 100 FW Patch autos, 99 Black RCs, etc. plus extras of each for QA...LOL) and they've got them all in house.

Pretty sure I saw Tavares and Hedman Black /99 on eBay already. I may be wrong...
As for SPGU, the entire set has grown on me after seeing some breaks, including the design and value:cost ratio as well.

IF is the big question now, no doubt there is some trouble but to what extent is speculation. They seem to say all delays are due to trying to reduce redemptions (which have been a common complaint of collectors for some time). Is their finnancial situation affecting any of the processes? For Sure, but I dont see any product being cancelled. Anything coming out in the next month or so would 1. Already have been produced, shipped to the athlete and would be returned or awaiting its arrival at UD for the packout process. Some of the late products such as The Cup, until otherwise anounced I cant see being cancelled and really we usually dont hear much about what UD is up to in the past so I wouldnt expect that to change now. We havnt heard much about future releases because we never usually do hear much.
Seems the speculation is like starting to beat a dead horse.... I think all we can do now is just be patient and wait. Time will tell.
