I've always loved the look of the 05-06 Ultimate Rookies AU Patch #/25 set. So, I made an exception an bought this Ovechkin #17/25.

Now after thinking about it (after I paid :|),... I am curious if I have bought a FAKE patch:

to tought to call. It could easily be legit as it its a piece of the emblem, but with patches you just never know these days. What a beauty of a card though, you did well!
 
i think it's legit considering i saw 2 that Lee had that were 4-clrs. you might be better off contacting him about it and seeing what he thinks. :)
 
its a beauty, im pretty sure its real. ive watched them all, and have seen almost similuar.

I have seen a few of these when the redemptions started going out. I think this one I bid on is very nice, but borderline possible fake. I guess I'll look at it when it arrives, but in the past, I haven't been able to tell the tampering of cards that I KNOW are fake.

Well - in the end I broke my own rule of not buying any photoshoot cards,... but it is one of my favorite designs from all 05-06 products!

Mr. Ho...I believe it is legit based on what I have seen/owned of this card. It is one of the nicest AO cards from 05/06...the design is so clean and uncluttered - definitely a sharp looking card.
 
Look at how many patches went out through 05/06 ICE that looked just like that.

I don't see any reason to think it's not real - there are tons out there just like it.

I think you have a good card there.

Thanks Lee - now that you've said it's fine, I'm not worried anymore. :)

I cried a tear when I saw Mark's #1/1 AU Shield in this design. That was my favorite card ever produced,...
