So a sweet Edler pops up on the Bay. I email the seller to see if he'll take a MO. All is good. Then I look at his low feedback and it seems that a buyer with a feedback of 22 has bid up on all of his auctions winning one.

Do you think I'm being shilled? I hate to point a finger but it seems fishy to me. I'm thinking about retracting my bid. If I can even do that being out bid now.

What do you think?

Don't retract your bid. Since you are outbit, it will cost the seller more $ if he wins it himself.

That's a good point. I think that I'll let it go and let the seller know that I'm not such a huge fan of this. Who knows, maybe he's legit but it sure does look fishy.

Looks like a shill to me. Like the others say dont retract make the guy pay the exptra fees or have to neg his other account for a NPB.

Gary,

Took a look at that auction again today, because it was so high and because of what you told me earlier. Stay away. Hard to say that but oh well.

here is the response I got.

"Gary,

I am sorry you look at it that way. For your knowing it is an older man who bought a card of me once, and turned out we were in same city. I personaly delivered the card to him and his nephew who wanted the card. If you really want i will ask him for you guys to contact. He has only bid on two cards and do not appreciate people assuming things making me out to look like a bad guy. I am an honest guy who has very nice cards and due due an injury and not working I have to part with them."

That really sucks that it's for such a nice card :)

Good Edmonton Toronto game so far.

It's unanamous....SHILL.

It's been said thousands of time....you can't really shill a snipe. Why bid early and high and give someone the chance to stick it to you. You know Ebay won't do a thing about it.

Shill, keep away.
I just found one seller who had a guy helping him out at 88%, a $12 GU is now at $11.50 cause of his help.
Don't need it that bad
