It took me a while to find the 04/05 ITG Ultimate Auto Threads Giacomin for my PC and when I finally managed to find one I really became a fan of the cards.

Just recently I had the opportunity to add another to my PC.

This purchase cost me considerably more than the first copy I picked up.
What a sharp card! Certainly overpaid for a single card.

Why did it cost so much more?

May have overpaid for a single card......

But Eddie had friends this time!

The other 28 cards in the COMPLETE SET of 04/05 ITG Ultimate Auto Threads!

I'd started up some ITG Ultimate side projects recently when I came across this set for sale. I was able to strike a deal for it and coule not be more please to add this to my collection. Surprisingly the slabs themselves are MINT and bordering on flawless which is pretty amazing.

One thing I did notice, and maybe someone knows better, but it appears though at least some of these cards were signed after the swatches were imbedded. If you look at the Potvin you can see where ink touches cardboard and it's noticeable on a couple others as well. I assumed the players signed a chunk of jersey that was then cut and assembled into the card.

Here's some other ITG Ultimate pickups.

Back in 2008ish I came across this set and it actually got me back into collecting. I sold the complete set to someone, who owned it for the next 10-11 years. We recently agreed on a price for the 21 of 25 cards he had left. These are 2 of the 4 missing cards to recomplete the set the set that got me back into this whole mess!

Some other ITG Ultimate subsets I like that I decided to collect:

And these last ones don't need much explanation. Not a set project, but cards I want to try and pickup as they pop up. The Roenick I picked up a while back but the other 4 are recent.

Hope you enjoyed the show! Pretty huge pickups if I do say so myself. Heavy Giacomin Show & Tell will return to its regularly scheduled time soon, as I have some brutes that just came in for that PC as well!

I remember when you and I were going after that UM8 Stick Rack set. I think we actually helped each other get a few. Glad you're getting it again! I still have mine! :D

The other cards are SWEET!!!

Can you believe it was 12ish years ago? I couldn't believe it myself. I regretted seling it for so long! I'd overspent already for the month(s) but when the chance came up to get it back I had to go for it. Just need to find the Esposito and Forsberg to finish it back up. Will be really nice to have that back in my collection. The neatest part of the whole set, in my opinion, was the Neely stick piece which is fortunately still there. He had some hashmarks on it from keeping track of something. One can only wonder what!

Within a week of that purchase the Auto Threads set popped up at what I genuinely feel was a steal of a price, so...you know how it goes. Will be doing a reorganizing of my Giacomin PC and all this new stuff over Christmas vacation and have what I feel is a nice storage idea that still makes it easy to view and appreciate some of this stuff instead of keeping it stuffed in boxes and should look nice and neat in the process.

Thanks for the comment Curt, and everyone else, they're appreciated.

Wow!!! Ok Wow!!! That was awesome!!!! I admit for a second I was going to see a Schultz in there.... phew!!!! Lol!! Awesome S&T!!!!!! Cheers!! Paul
