Can anyone help me with the print run from this parallel set? I'm missing the Havlat, and I found one at Burbank Sportscards (throught the Bucket marketplace), but the price is quite steep, especially for a parallel.

Ayuh. They're miserable to find too.

(and a tip of the hat to Shawn who provided me with my Sakic!)

Thanks guys, although I still find near $100 for a Havlat to be somewhat pricy (and they apparently have 2), anyone know if those guys ever move on their prices?

FYI - they have a fair number of cards from that set if anyone else is looking.

Burbank? Move on prices?

Pass me some of whatever you're having ;)

Really though, you've got as good a chance of pulling one from a pack as you do of getting them to budge. Don't be surprised if the cards are still sitting on their inventory page in 10 years. Yes, it stinks :(

I have a dealer friend of mine working on a set of these for one of his customers.

He's told me numerous times he's paid quite a bit for these on the bay, so $100 for a Havlat /9 doesn't seem unreasonable.

In my past experience Burbank has never discounted with even multiple card purchases, let alone single cards.

I've tried to get a discount when buying large lots at their shop, but to no avail.

They had a Steve Kariya #/10 card marked at $120 for about 4 years and I kept on passing, just because it was too much for me...well they put it on eBay and I win it for $18 and change.

They have a huge selection and keep their prices high. Good luck if you can get a discount! Maybe they've changed their ways.

The biggest thing with Burbank is that they can charge high amounts for cards since they do have so much. They have a 1600 sqft warehouse just to house baseball cards from 1988-1993. I would contact them to make sure that they have two of them that are serial numbered out of 9 before you purchase them. These might be the backdoor stock from Pacific that are not numbered.
