Information needed about autographs

I have been looking for a Tim Horton autograph for a bit now.I have located one and it is on the front of a magazine.My question is how will the value of this auto be effected since it is on the magazine with several other players.Four of the 6 are Hall of Famers.I would think it would be better with only himself.Also where is the best place to send these autos to have them authenticated.I see a lot of cards are PSA-DNA graded.So will PSA authenticate autos on a magazine.Or will they just do cards.The person that has the auto(s) is willing to let me have them authenticated before I pay out the money.Thanks and Happy Holidays,Winston.

A Horton autograph is still valuable regardless of who he is with. Would a blank 3x5 been better, that is personal preference, but I am more than happy to get the autograph of more players, as long as the Horton isn't really touched by others and it is easy to see (I know old Leafs magazine sometimes have dark areas). As for where to get it authenticated, I would go with PSA/DNA.

Probably somewhere between $175 and $225, unless some like Sawchuk is on there as well.

I think that it might be higher... all the Horton autos that I have seen for the past while have had a much higher price tacked on to them unless they were faded all to hell... have a quick look on the bay and you will see what im talking about. You are probably looking at the $350 range and higher depending on who he is paired up on the program with and how dark and clean the auto is.

PSA-DNA is one of the best to authenticate the autos but I think they can be rather expensive, you may want to look into comparing the price with JSA or GAI

The Horton is a very nice auto.Two names for sure that are with him is Doug Harvey and Johnny Bower.Both autos are also very nice.The person wants a lot more than even the $350.00.Thanks for the information,Winston.

The Harvey is a decent auto that can go for around $100-125. As for Horton, a 3x5 went for around $325 and two team signed pictures with Horton went for around $440 combined in a couple recent Classic auctions. My estimate might have been a little low, but not too far off.

If you want a nice 3x5 single signed card there is one on ebay for $389.99. If you are interested, I also have program with Horton, Esposito, Mikita, and some others that I would sell for less than $350. PM me if you are interested.

As for authentication, PSA/DNA's fee for Horton is expensive ($50). If you want, I can take a look and give you an opinion. Take a look at the link in my signature line to see my collection and where I am coming from. If you would like the help just let me know.
