I woke up this morning to find that the auctions I had been running for Detroit Vipers minor league cards were all ended by ebay for "attempting to circumvent ebay fees".

Why?

I had a link to my beckett userpage on my auction listings. Since when is that such a ^%$@ing crime??? Apparently beckett userpage = I'm trying to circumvent ebay fees, which is evil and satanic and wrong... I feel like I just got smacked upside the head with a meter stick in a 2nd grade classroom.

From the looks of the emails they sent, you aren't allowed to have ANY links at all in your auction listings. So howabout the gazillion powersellers who all have links for their own webpages?

So I guess I broke their policy (worlds tiniest violins, playing just for me, I know)... but this has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Don't they have better things to do with their time, like perhaps actually investigating bad sellers/bidders?

grrrrrr I really should go take a shower and finish waking up before I make posts like this, but...grr!

Yeah, I'm a little upset with them too. There costomer service or tech seport is crappy. I emailed them 8 times now on how to fix a problem, almost every email is the same. But oh well hopefuly I'll get one email that makes a difrence and maybe they'll let you put links in your auctions someday and maybe I'll be Prime Minister someday not likely lol.

I think you have to put links like that on your "my ebay" page, not in the listing, but it is enforced rather haphazardly. Someone probably reported your auctions.

Yes, I agree with leafchik1967. i have had 30 items on ebay in the last 2 weeks and my link to my own website was posted on all of them.
