Interesting E-Bay sale to Upper Deck, Leaf product??

The shipping label is to xxxx xxxx (persons name), Upper Deck Company, Carlsbad CA. At 1st I thought it might have something to do with the court case but why wouldn't they buy a cheaper version. Twilight Zone stuff.

Gretzky (and Orr, I believe...maybe not, though) are UD Spokesmen/persons/peoplekinds that are on this card that shouldn't be because of their exclusives with Upper Deck. This could possibly be why they bought the card.

Man I just don't get Leaf products at all. Every time I see a hit posted here, the card just looks like it was done by an amateur designer who's brilliant idea for his product is jamming way too many players and game used onto one card. Nice job with the sale and as said above, probably just a collector that also works for Upper Deck getting something sent to the office.

They are exclusive to UD for their autographs usually. Can't stop Leaf from buying memorabilia on the secondary market and using their pictures on the cards... didn't ITG do the same thing? Their NHL logo's don't appear at all.

That's how I feel. But, UD claims those players are official spokesmen for them, meaning they can only have UD cards. But without having seen the actual contracts and agreements, there's no way of knowing which it really is.
