i had never come across this until now. the policy is basically this. if a seller lists 2 items with the same description and title, only one fo them will show up in a title search

thus in my case

"some guy" cup yields only 1 card, when i am paying for 2 listings

now in my case, the cards had very different patches, thats ehy i paid for 2 listings, to give the consumer a choice

ebay's explanation was they have the policy to avoid someone with 400 copies of titanic on dvd with exactly the same listing taking up all of the search space...they didnt want buyers to be inundated with duplicate listings by one seller

but what about when the item is unique, just the word description is the same i asked

reponse was go to xxx site to make your complaint heard

anyways this was news to me....did you all know this?

edit the answer was to add an extra character or some other minute change to the title

yup-i had the same problem when i listed all of my marleau 8x10's.only 4 of 30 or so popped up.i complained and all i got was my listing fees back..stupid.i know add a letter to each title to make it different

Doesn't seem to be an issue for me. "wendel clark auto" reveals all 7 different 8x10s I'm offering for sale right now, even though the title is identical on them.
