So, I went out to shoot the ball around, went looking for a stick to use, and lo and behold I find the stck I'd been hoping to find a few years ago.
In either 2003-2004 or 2004-2005 my sisters hockey team playedin the intermission of a Kitchener Ranger game, afterwards, the team was allowed into the Ranger dressing room and my sister had most of the team sign her hockey stick. I only knew of Petr Kanko on the stick as my sister didn't know the players. After it was signed my dad would not cough up the cash to buy another, non signed hockey stick for 15-20 bucks, so she used the autographed hockey stick. A number of the autographs are terrible faded, but a number of players signed on the blade and the heal and lower portion of the shaft. Some of the auto's were taped over.
As I am examining it, I'm am pleased and surprised to find that it was autographed by Mike Richards and I'm surprised to find that it is one of the few auto's largely unharmed by the wear and tear. I had no idea he had signed it and forgot about it until I found it. Luckily the fading is limited, it was on a part where the texture of the stick held the autograph in tact, dusty and full of dead bug parts stuck in the tape, it was dissapointing how poorly it was treated but I am rather happy with the Richards auto and to boot, my sister said I could have it.
I will try and get pics up if we can download the software for the digital cam, but I thought I would share the story regardless.
Also, does anyone know a good custom card maker? I was thinking about cutting the Richards auto off and trying to find a custom card maker to make me an auto/stick card.
