Have a pile of signed 90's hockey rookie cards from various signing sessions that I'd like to get slabbed up, for reasonable priced options there are the following 2 options:
1) Beckett BAS:
- $20 or $25/card (depending on the player)
- Will note the specifics of the card on the flip
- Can grade the auto for an extra $10 (its actually a free add on right now).
- Can also add a grading of the card for an extra $40 (but I'm not really interested in that as most would be 8's)
2) PSA
- $20 or $25/card (sale price of $18/card right now)
- Will only note 'Trading Card' on the flip, which sucks IMO.
- Can grade the auto for an extra $10 I believe.
- Can get the card authenticated (so you get the set info on the flip) and graded for $150/card (not happening lol).
I'm keeping some (which are going to Beckett to match my PC) but I plan on selling/trading off the extras and doubles... do people generally prefer PSA 'Trading Card' slabs or the Becket BAS slabs with the card information on the flip?
Personally the 'Trading Card' on the PSA flips is a deal breaker for me... but what does everyone think?
