A couple years ago I really wanted to work on an ultimate endorsed emblems set and wanted the very best patch from every player in the set. Luckily for me someone on SCF was parting ways with a complete set and I was able to snatch up this beauty off someone else who purchased it from him after I missed out on it.

Within the time I have bought this card until now I have collected so many top notch patch cards from a variety of sets and have been burned quite a few times so now I'm very careful with what I choose to buy. If something is too good to be true or doesn't look like it should I pass on it even if the seller is claiming it to be 100% legit just so be safe and to me this patch looks to good to be true plus has way to much of the Panther face in such a small patch window from any patch previous worn by Luongo that I can come across Pre 2005-06.

The original owner claims he can 100% guarantee that this card is not a fake and that the person he bought it from is a trusted seller who pulled it himself PLUS he has seen other patches in the set that go along with it while he was trying to put the complete set together himself. I have done a ton of research trying to come across the other Luongos printed in the set that he claims are out there among countless other stuff trying to prove its legit because I want so bad for the card to be authentic as it would easily be one of my favorite cards I own which is saying alot but everything I come across only seems to prove to me that it's fake.

This is basically my last ditch effort to see if anyone on here could somehow someway help me in determining if this card is PC or Garbage as I could use all the help I could get :)

I'm by no means an expert on the set, but I definitely remember back in the day seeing several Luongo patches from that set that looked gorgeous. Seems to me that was before the faking of patches became an epidemic. I'd lean far towards the side of the spectrum that you are holding onto a real, legitimately outstanding piece from that set. Don't go throwing that one away, it's real.

Worthpoint had it sell on March 11th 2008 with that patch.

If you want to try searching deeper for ebay sales, I used worthpoint.com and searched Luongo Ultimate 35.

I think that is a legit piece. I have held another copy in hand that was a 3 colour Panthers piece, so there is consistency on that, at least!

I had a Steven Weiss card from the same year(different set) that was sent to me straight from upper deck that had a similar patch.

My best,

Ken

The card itself has 0 flaws, nothing about the patch/card looks like it was faked or altered with so I was always thinking it was legit but it just looked like too much of the panther face in such a small patch window which is what confused me because I couldn't find the shoulder patch it was ever used from. I feel much much better with all the feedback you guys have given so I appreciate it a ton :)
