is there a Panini representative on HI?

...but he is busy and we don't see him here much, so be patient if you're sending him PM's or hoping for him to hop on a thread...

There was a thought that he WAS a bad guy? I missed that...Al's always been very cool to me. With his new role with Panini, he's quite busy but he does get back to you eventually.

He's EX-Beckett... and he's not a bad guy actually. We're interested in all manufacturers taking an active role in our community, and Al is accessible through here by all HI member.

Was there another Al at Beckett at some point? I thought you had fairly strong feelings about a Beckett employee, but, I could be wrong which would be no surprise, maybe it was a moderator here who had the beef?

Some people aren't fond of Al, and that's fine. He had a certain way of editing back in the day at Beckett. I disagreed with him on one pricing item.

With Al on board, we now have the ear of all three hockey manufacturers - Brian with ITG, Chris Carlin with UD and now Al with Panini. As well, Steve Charendoff of Rittenhouse lurks around too. This is nothing but good news for us here at HI as we have access to these guys for questions, and hopefully they'll share more information with us collectively.

Well, back in his days as editor at Beckett, I'm sure most of us took issue with him at some point, but that doesn't mean you can't like the guy. He was a journalist - he's supposed to make you think, and taking flak is part of the job. As long as both sides deal with it maturely, as I know Al and Bruce would, you can disagree on something and still get along.
