Is this a FAKE PATCH?

I think we would have seen a patch like that on UDs Cup preview... Most Datsyuk LLs are number or nameplates from the past 2 years.

That one should be in Gomaz's picture library which I believe CnC was looking on hosting.

That one looks and probably is fake.
 
I def had a bad feeling about this one, just don't have the expertise that a lot of HI members do when it comes to specific team patches(years they were worn, etc...) and such, thanks everyone, you guys ROCK!!!:beer:

Well, thought it would be appropriate and contact the seller to tell him my feelings about the Datsyuk, mind you I was very polite, just asked a couple questions and told him my opinion(not that it matters to the seller). Here is their response: (feel like he was a bit too defensive)


15 YEARS IN THE HOBBY??! I SELL HIGH END GRADED ITEMS, PATCH CARDS AND AUTOGRAPHS I PURCHASE OR PACK PULL AND THEN TRY AND SELL THEM ON E-BAY ??
JUST CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE IT OUT ??
NEVER HAVE HAD AN E-MAIL OR PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF MY ITEMS SOLD BEFORE. THIS E-MAIL IS A FIRST FOR ME !!!
MY POWER SELLER STATUS AND E-BAY RATING SPEAKS FOR ITSELF . IF YOU OR ANYONE ELSE THINKS A CARD IS SO CALLED "FAKE" ; REPORT IT AND CONTACT ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE . I BELIEVE THIS MATTER TO BE ANNOYING AND UNTRUTHFUL.

FAKE FAKE FAKE!! Look at the patch itself. The "Wings" don't appear to be correct. It is missing the multiple "feathers" (does that make sense?). This patch has long feathers, while a Red Wings patch has multiple little feathers to make up the Wing.
Look at all the patches Chris showed...every one has multiple "short feathers".

I'm not saying this guy faked it himself, but I'd lay money on that one not beaing real.
 
I don't think Datsyuk was in the NHL when the Red Wings wore that patch if I'm not mistaken.

I know, and have even seen it at the expo, guys are selling fake patches they got from ebay unknowingly, in fact they are the victims, but the fact that they don't know or have any clue and didn't do there homework makes me never want too deal with them.

I believe from this guys email he perhaps was the victim here, I don't like all his capitals letters but again he's being accused of something what do expect him too do.

Personally, I don't think the card is real, and I think the seller was the victim of a shady transaction and he believes the card is real and is selling it like it's real, but it is likely NOT!

Good point, and to be perfectly clear I never accused them of knowingly selling a fake patch card. I just asked politely how they acquired it and then brought up some observations other HI members noticed. Based on the sellers response I will make sure never to do business with them, just feel if you are selling a high end card you should be prepared to answer potential buyers questions and concerns better
