is this a true 1/1?

Saw this one on ebay and was wondering if this was a true Nicola Riopel 1/1?

As the dealer is from Finland it says "Turku 1/1" on the top of the card.

What are your thoughts?

Also $75 is this reasonable? or what would be more a reasonable offer on a card like this?

It's show-stamped card from an Expo in Finland so not a true 1/1 and $75 is way too much. $10 might be a little closer.

Definitely not a "true 1/1" in the broadly accepted definition of the term.

I would have to concur with the folks above, although it may even be stamped or numbered 1/1, it's just the expo version of a card that has many copies out there, it just happens to be the only one presented at that particular show. As far as I know, for the ITG stuff, black is the most common, then silver, then gold, right? Either way, unless a card is made specifically for an expo (i.e. the UD Priority Signings or the ITG Team Superlative) then they're just the same value as the card without the stamp, possibly a slight premium for the expo stamp, but not much at all. $75 is excessive, it's a $10 card, and there are 130 unstamped copies. The expo stamp isn't worth $65, haha.

Would not pay that much unless I was in search of a show stamped card from Finland for a project and If I could spend 75.00 like it was 0.75.

The card is a 1/1.

Only problem is that it is a show stamped card so it has less value than a card pulled from a pack.

Most real 1/1's have a patch, auto, a different colour printed on it etc etc. All this is a card pulled from a binder they take and stamped with the Turku and 1/1 on it.
Mind you at the shows I know in Toronto for a fact that some cards can get some big bucks WHEN AT THE SHOW, after the show is over the value goes down to BV or maybe X2

Got a Fuhr 1/1 Show stamped pad from BTP Guy came up and offered me $50 for it.
If i had taken it to a show after the expo, $10-15 would of been a better value to put on it.

this is about as close to a true 1/1 as would a card with a player jersey # on it would be.

I put show stamped 1/1's (or 1/whatever, for that matter) on equal value as the regular issue... ie if this jersey's regular version is worth $15... then the show one is worth $15. I have noticed though that there are a lot of the patches from shows that have really nice pieces in them... and the majority of the jersey cards are milticolor.

I think card companies should stop having stamped versions and have a "2010/11" issue of giveaway cards. Thirty cards, each numbered to say... 100. Unless, of course, that is cost prohibitive, as it may be.
