The Islanders have fired head coach Scott Gordon. Bridgeport coach Jack Capuano takes over as interim head coach. With time left on his contract, Gordon stays on as an advisor to Garth Snow.

if they only could. they fire gordon. yet keep him on payroll as an advisor to garth snow. its like the blind leading the blind there. then replace gordon with someone who has no NHL Head coaching experience.
