Guy walked in the store and said he had purchased a shoebox full of older cards at an auction. "These were in there," he says, "and I know you like autographs, so let's trade for some older stuff."

Maybe I should start going to the auctions myself!

1999-2000 McDonald's Retro autographs! These are numbered out of 500, and it's a complete set minus the SP (out of 25) Gretzky. Really, really nice group of cards!

Thanks for the look!

Wow very nice - everytime my mother-in-law comes back with cards from an auction I cringe - it's always been 90-91 Upper Deck, or if I'm really lucky Pro-Set!!

He didn't bring the rest of the box in -- it was all older stuff, though, so he kept it. No idea what he paid for it.

He did say he also picked up some uncut 1984-85 OPC sheets, including one with the Yzerman RC. He's going to bring a dupe one by to trade me.

Hang on a tic also -- just made another trade for a SWEET Maple Leafs find!

Sweet pick up now time for you to find a Great One.

I was building the set from 2002 and only ever saw 1 Gretzky on eBay. It's why I gave up on mine and broke it up.

Wayne... "SWEET" and the "Leafs" are generally not in the same sentence... that's an oxymoron like "jumbo shrimp" ;)
