ITG H&P Auto Question

At Expo I traded for a couple H&P autos of Stamkos and Kane. Both from 2006-07. I really like these cards and am thinking about collecting H&P autos of various players. I like the idea of the pre-RC auto with the player pictured in their junior uniform.

But I would only want their first H&P auto. So question is, is here a resource anywhere to find out what year a players first H&P auto was in? Aside from scouring all the checklists on the ITG website.

Wondering if anyone has compiled this list themselves...

Also, after looking around on eBay a bit, it is too bad the 11-12's are horizontal. Takes the uniformity away from this potential PC. I may skip cards from that year and go with 12-13's in their place.

07/08 are horizontal as well.

Thanks Ken, I hadn't noticed that. I s'pose I'll concede to to the horizontals then. No biggie....plus I'll get to make Scheifele's first H&P auto a part of this PC.

To me, I'd just go with whichever design or photo between the two or three years the player was included is the best.

Not for me. That would contradict the purpose of the PC for me. I want their earliest H&P auto.

Unless someone has an archive where the first autographed cards are noted, I am thinking you will have to go the Beckett route.

I think ITG could add a "First Autograph Card" tag to these cards like they did with the Signature Series issues in the past. It would add some value to the card.

www.hockeydb.com is really good for that sort of thing. Just type in the player name and then click the list cards button. The list isn't perfect for everything, but for the main guys, I find it to be bang on.

Yeah, I wonder if anyone has done the research already and compiled a list...

I love the idea of ITG adding a "1st auto card" tag on the cards themselves. Perhaps that would add some value to those cards. That would be cool. Probably too late for the Draft Edition coming out but maybe they could implement it in next year's H&P.
