I'm going to second an enforcers/tough-guy sub-set of some kind and add Dennis Polonich and, of course, Gordie Howe to that list. Maybe a 'Howe-Hat-Trick' insert set... Howe, Shanahan, etc.

The idea of an owner card from Ilitch sounds really cool.

And so does a rivals sub-set... I know I'd hate for him to get into a set of Wings, but a Claude Lemieux / Darren McCarty dual would be pretty nice!

Though he's better known for managing Detroit to 4 Stanley Cups...12 straight 100-point seasons...21 consecutive playofff appearances...GM Ken Holland actually played 3 games in net for the Wings too! And Holland is still looking for his first hockey card.

ITG presents the first ever octopus piece card....

I would like to see Bill Ranford although he only played 8 games with Detroit(4 regular and 4 playoff games). Wouldn't mind seeing Bob Essensa but like Ranford, didn't play many games with Detroit.

Mike Vernon and Igor Larionov would also be sweet.

Basic idea, but even some cards of players who put in 50+ games with the Wings, but don't have a major set card with the player in a Wings colours. Notably:

Gilbert Delorme 121 games
Harold Snepts 120 games
Joe Murphy 90 games
Bobby Dollas 89 games
Warren Young 79 games
Jamie Macoun 76 games

Dave "Tiger" Williams 55 games

(please correct me if I'm wrong and I'm not counting food issued cards here)

If you can't find a Wings picture, do a paint over like the late 80's OPC/Topps
