I for one, would find it hilarious if Upper deck did something about this,
I mean, they are getting pretty much slammed right there and there's not even a 'itg does not neccesarily endorse this or share the opinions shared below.'
upper deck's name is used clear out,
ITG needs to walk away from the spilled milk, dry their tears, and try and find something else to do.
If they're this upset about people shelling out 100$+ for a pack of UD ultimate while under the impression it is ITG, I question their business model, and their research patterns.
There aren't a whole lot of people who are uninformed about the hobby that drop that kind of coin on a product without checking into it at least a little (reading the wrapper perhaps)
To ITG:
I agree with you on this issue, completely, Upper Deck is in the wrong with this one and I'm sure they realize it. With that said, what is all this whining and complaining going to do?...nothing.
Move on and continue to offer collectors what they wants, product.
It's not all in a name. Sure there's a select few who will buy based on name, but, honestly, that's their screwup.
I know there's a bigger issue here of seeming copyright's and all that jazz, but really, in my eyes it comes down to the product itself, not the name on the card.
