Made a quick trip to Gamebreakers this morning and decided to kill my hobby budget for the next little while on a side by side comparison. You be the judge, keep in mind that ITG was about $50CDN more - still an easy decision in my opinion.

And then the real reason I went to the store this morning was to pickup my end of a deal with Frank, for this beauty - my first Kurri :eek: /:eek:

Not much more to say than that.

Easy decision is right!, That 3 colour Mario is a Beauty. If I collected Ultimate, I'd be all over that!

My opinion on the comparison of the two products is:

ITG's worst pack is still 3-5 times the Value of the worst UD pack.

UD worst pack ($90 ?) could fetch you $5-$6 on Ebay: common auto, common Jersey, base, common Rookie. (and this happens in ALOT of packs)

ITG worst pack ($140 ?) could still fetch you about $20-$30 on Ebay: Base/90, common auto/50, common Jersey/25. (and this DOES NOT happen in ALOT of packs)

The Best pack from each product would vary, who knows what the best pack could fetch.

However, the most important is the Average pack and this based on the breaks being seen on here, local shops etc. Hands down goes to ITG

My Opinion only

ITG Hands down.The cards just seem to have more power & I am seeing collector's flock after these cards,just my two cents :)

Hmm...

ITG= 2 Wings
UD= 0 Wings

Seems like an easy choice to me, lol! :D Seriously though...I really don't understand the use of all the gaudy, mid-90's Score Board insert card-lookin' foil used on this year's UD Ultimate...far cry from the 05/06 product (IMO). :cool:

Great pickup on the 1/1...beautiful card there! :eek:

I have to agree that ITG wins this round big time. I just have a problem with slabbed cards. They take up way too much room.

Nice breaks by the way.

I really don't like the look of the UD Ultimate. The set looks boring and the swatches all seem small and 1 color. ITG has improved their product from last year and most pieces of jersey and stick seem to be multi-colored. I wish the ITG was hardsigned, that is my only pet peeve. I will be buying some singles of ITG but probably be avoiding the UD expect 1-2 cheap autographs.
