Jackets acquire Williams from the Thrashers

Blue Jackets get Jason Williams for Clay Wilson and a 6th. The 6th was acquired from the Sharks in the Jody Shelley trade.

But going to Atlanta was his choice though as he signed as a UFA this past Summer. Also I think he is a UFA after this season so I'm sure he can tough it out. But most of all, who cares about the market when you're going to be playing with Nash.

Ugh! Well I'm just doing Wilson's RCs so it's not like I have a big commitment to it.

Oh, and the Atlanta and Columbus hockey markets don't even compare. Atlanta is trash.

Oh, wanted to add, they had a brief interview and here were his comments along with Hitchcock...

-looking forward to Columbus except for the snow. Said he was just getting used to the warm weather in Atlanta.
-wants to help them make the playoffs and thinks it's a great opportunity.
-Looking forward to meeting his new teammates. No issues with Torres. When Torres destroyed him a couple of years ago, after the game they met up and Torres asked how he was. Said, the issue might be brought up during dinner.
-Hitchcock plans on using him on the point with Tyutin on the Power Play. Here's hoping that he helps the Jackets PP.
