The Columbus Blue Jackets announced Wednesday that the club has signed left wing Jason Chimera to a four-year contract extension through the 2011-12 season.
The deal will pay Chimera $1.875 million per season.
Chimera, 28, is the Blue Jackets' fifth-leading scorer with 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists to go along with 49 penalty minutes in 55 games.

Glad to have Chimera in Columbus for another 4 seasons. He's my favorite non-goalie player in the league, gives 110% every game.
