I do not blame him, he coached a long time. I missed him last year on the Wild. He was a great coach and that is the bottomline.

I'm glad to see him retire. Don't get me wrong, he was a great coach, but he is more than partly to blame for the prominence of the "neutral zone trap" through the mid to late 90's up until the lockout in 04/05. He was successful, but he made for a boring style of play for certain.
