Hey all, figured I don't do show & tells too often and have a ton of various sets that we're always working on so I figured I'd throw a post together.

(Also helps that my wonderful girlfriend got me a new scanner for Christmas so I finally have everything organized and scanned)

Braydon Coburn

Gonna start with Coburn pieces, as there are so few. The rest of the Coburn PC aside from 8-10 pieces is stashed in another PC of an epic variety (2005-06 sets) so I probably won't be landing them anytime soon.

I did manage to pick up a few nice patches as doubles, as well as a BEAUTIFUL custom from Glenn.

A.J. Allmendinger

I've also been collecting NASCAR Driver A.J. Allmendinger for the past decade or so. There are too many cards to list but I was excited to get these since he's in his first sets since 2018.

2002-03 Fleer Throwbacks

I've slowly begun chasing the 2002-03 Fleer Throwbacks Autographs Set as it falls in line with my love of anything cool, enforcer related, and hard-signed.

Was lucky enough to pull the Gillies and grabbed the Clarke at a great BIN.

2006-07 Parkhurst

Have always loved this set and went full-bore after finding six boxes of it in Canton, OH where I nabbed a SP Stevens Captains autograph. Have slowly been picking up pieces when they're available, which is rare.

The Kisio, Rogers, and O'Reilly came from an east trade on here with RunFromABear

2004-05 In The Game Franchises
I've also begun the descent into madness that is this set. I've accepted that this is probably a "lifetime" set and I will very likely have extreme competition on a number of the rarest of the rare. Oh well, I want to do it anyway, it's that pretty of a set.

I've been focusing on memorabilia for the time being, trying to pick up the SP autographs where I can. I figure the rest of the non-SP stuff will be available at some point.

2001-02 Fleer Greats of the Game Autographs

Another beautiful autograph set here, I'm down to just mostly common guys with Trottier being the last SP I need for the set. None of the SP's have been particularly hard to track down so it's just a matter of time.

2000-01 Be A Player Memorabilia Update

Another set we've been toying around with is the 2000-01 Be A Player Memorabilia Update set. My dad and I loved this set when we were kids so he's been going hard after two-color swatches (hopefully) on most of these rarer and rarer cards to find.

1999-00 Be A Player Millennium

We've been slowly making our way through the 1999-00 Be A Player Millennium set, my personal favorite BAP set since it went in team order, but not alphabetical order, which personally drives me insane. It features the murderers row of greatness from that era on beuatiful cards and also has beautiful game-used stuff to boot. They scan terribly though.

1996-97 Fleer Ultra Clear The Ice
After we finished the 1995-96 Ultra Crease Crashers and Extra Attackers, we went after the 1996-97 Fleer Ultra Clear The Ice set, one of the most beautiful sets from a very crowded group in the late 1990's. Inserted at what I believe were 1:360 packs, they were and still are very difficult to find. We've gotten the big names out of the way thankfully, and they'll be up for trade when we complete the set.

1995-96 Topps
One of my very few hobby regrets was selling the entirety of the 1995-96 Topps Home Grown Canada Series 2 Set roughly 10 years ago. It was painful to track down back then and half of the set is still unbelievably scarce, as is the next set on the list. We've knocked the big names out of the way early-ish (and I mean in the past three years) but those seem to be the easiest to find.

As for the rest of the entire set, we're just missing Brodeur's Finest Refractor.

1996-97 Leaf
1996-97 Leaf is a rare set, mostly because I've always felt that all of the cards are somehow rarer than their print runs, if that makes sense. These are awesome looking cards in person and somehow have a print run of /2500.

WHEW!

That was a lot of fun, I forgot how much fun (and typing) these entail. I'm gonna finish with a top-3 for the first quarter of the year. The first card we got as what I would consider a fantastic price, even for a one-color patch.

Sljv3Kl.jpeg

1999-00 Be A Player In The Numbers Jaromir Jagr

This is the first but hopefully not only (still gonna need that Parkhurst Autograph) Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe autograph I've ever owned. Couldn't be happier.

i4uzOqe.jpeg

2001-02 Fleer Greats of the Game Autographs Gordie Howe "Mr. Hockey"

This card is just the most ridiculous thing I've ever owned. I couldn't possibly imagine in the days of being a young kid going to card shows with my dad just to kill time, both of us only being able to afford the budget of the budget products, that we would ever own anything this cool.

We've always collected for fun and to buy the cards that we thought were the coolest when we were walking around the mall shows back in the day.

I'm going to crack it open shortly, because the grade doesn't particularly matter to us. Somewhat foolishly, it still sits prominently displayed with the scotch at the bar I work at.

Thanks for the read if you got this far, if you have anything from any of these sets please lemme know!

Awesome additions. I agree 2004-05 Franchises is awesome. So now I know whom I am competing with lol.

What an awesome haul! Love the Atlanta cards, they;re sweaters make for some fire mem cards. One thing about a lot of the auto cards in this post, the signatures are awesome, dont see too many signatures like that anymore it seems

Great show with some fun sets. I agree with you on the Franchises set. A beauty that will never be matched.
