13-14 ITG Used Rocket Richard Trophy Winners

I've been on the lookout for this one for a few years now, and there's been a couple on eBay that we're over priced over the years. And I finally got the chance at this one, auction style! Love that I can add Rocket Richard into the Iginla collection!

08-09 Victory Black Parallel

I know you're probably scratching your head wondering why this is such a big addition for me. But the Victory Black Parallel of Iginla has been one of those cards that I have just never seen show up anywhere over the past handful of years. This one finally popped up on eBay and I immediately hit BIN. Thrilled to have this one in hand finally!

As most of you know, I collect Jarome Iginla jersey numbered cards, and I'm currently sitting at a total of 97 (probably another S n' T to come when I hit the big 100). Iginla has worn three different numbers in his career and most recently he wore 88 while playing only a handful of games with the Kings. There are only two possible cards that could feature Iggy with his jersey number in the serial numbering. 17-18 MVP Gold Script /165 (Retail Only) and 17-18 OPC Black Rainbow /100. So ever since those two releases, I have been searching high and low for any leads on either of those two cards. Well ... half a year after the release of OPC, a 13 card Black Rainbow Lot shows up on eBay and I do my usual check to see if Iggy is in it. And when I read the item description... BOOM! Jarome Iginla 88/100. Funny how a $3 value card can be one of my biggest prize possessions in the Iginla pc! Anyways, here's the pics

Great stuff Jayden, and I love your reasoning for being thrilled about the third card. It took me a few years to appreciate that price or scarcity doesn't always give us the biggest thrill when pulling in pc cards. It's a good thing that the auction lister put the serial number in the description, would have been easy to miss out on this card mixed into a group lot. Glad you got to pull these in, great show!

Great stuff. This is my one lone Iggy jersey-numbered card:




But some years ago, I think someone on this very site claimed that they had the exact same card. So it's possible that one or both of us was hoodwinked and one or both of us doesn't have what we think we have.

Wish I could remember who it was. I don't recall seeing their copy but think they were a noted Iggy collector at the time and there was no reason to doubt their veracity. As these are hand-numbered cards, I guess it would be possible to alter them if you could match the ink.

I really love seeing these pickups. Big or small, they are all special in there own ways. Love it!

My favourite is the Victory Black. Simple cards, but I always loved those black borders to make the card standout from the rest.

Joe, I'm very curious about your 5 sport Iginla card. That's a really cool card and I sure hope it is legit! I have never seen a serial numbered version of that autograph before though. I can't even find any info anywhere on it. I would be curious for more info if you know anything on that!
