Hey gang...I'm just curious...what's the shakedown these days with jersey multipliers? Is it 1.5x for 2 color, or 2x for 2 color, or what? Is it based on player? Or do we even bother anymore?

Just wondering is all.

For me it only depends on what I originally traded it for. If it is a new card from a pack, I don't mind trading two colours straight up.

Depends on the player, but personally I almost immediately stop a trade when someone wants a multiplier for multicolor jersey. Especially with ITG, because it seems like most of their jerseys are multi. UD has had more lately too. Now, I do sometimes believe it a negative multiplier for white patches. Maybe that makes me a hypocrite, but thats how I feel............

It depends mainly on the set, and the player. I try to base things of of a realistic sale value anyway, so BV and Multipliers are irrelevant. Lets face it, a Sidney Crosby 2 color SPX RC woudl outsell a one color SPX RC, anyday. And so woudl pretty much that whole set. Now liek someone said, ITG products, they tend to have mostly multi color pieces, so its not as relevant.

I think it goes case by case. Jerseys are so plentiful these days. A multi-colored jersey of Lee Stepniak or some of the ITG no-namers is worth/desired very little more than the single colored ones.

Quite frankly, they all seem to find their way into the $2 box.

Patches - now I think that's where the multiplier comes into affect.

I personally factor the HI Beckett value to be inclusive of two-coloured jerseys. As others have noted, unless we're talking about something like a Crosby/Ovechkin/Orr/Price/Gretzky on a halfway decent product, using a multiplier is a good way to ensure that nobody trades with you. Somebody tried to use a 2x multiplier on a Black Diamond Ruby Tanguay because it was 90/10 black/white and I just about fell out of my chair laughing.
Even with patches nowadays, it's getting really hard to be super fired up over a patch unless it's totally crazy like some of the Blackhawks ones you see.

I only use multipliers if its crosby, ovechkin, Nash, malkin..everyone else falls under the same pricing in my opinion

isn't it more difficult to get a two or more on a jersey.A patch should be multiple colours, therefore why not use a multiplier on a two colour or more jersey card.

Depends on what set and single, a 2clr is usually more attractive and I personally would pick a "perfect" 2clr before 2 single color, on the other hand I usually not getting any premium or just like 1,25x so I'm ok with it as long as I get my 2clr cheap as well.

Take for example the SPGU dual jersey of Lundqvist from the latest 2 years, every two or so I've seen has had 2-3clr on the swatch and for me there's no premium at all when half the print is MC, while say the 03 SPX RC of Spezza is nearly impossible to get a mc and I'd love to add a 3-4x hi on a good 2 colors.

I also suggest a 1clr patch is not a patch, even though by name the bv should be cut by half or worse right away even if its from the 06 Ice or Ultra feat. Lundqvist
