For those sceptics who say a jersey numbered card isn't worth any extra premium or next to none, check out this ebay auction for the 08/09 Cup Stamkos gold parallel RC #91/91:

Considering its one color patch, it went for at least 4 or 5 times the price of the other non-jersey numbered cards. The last two bidders put it up there but even before their involvement, it was at least twice or 3 times the going price for the same gold parallel RC. Wow.

Gordon as some deep pockets, i have an ebay message from him telling me he has 43 + Stamkos /91 and /99 combine and that was back in may 2010.

Ya, gordon probably had to pay more for that card than any other one he has, including the Stamkos Cup RCs /99! He got lucky and bought 80% of his Stamkos cards before anyone even knew who Stamkos was. LoL

The reason the price went so high was because Gordon and a guy named Justin were going back and forth. Both have money. Justin ONLY collects stuff numbered to Stamko's jersey number.

I have dealt with them both! Although I disagree that Justin ONLY collects cards with Stamkos' jersey number. I've sold sold him some of the best Stamkos cards he owns so I know. I really wish Justin would have won this 91/91 card though. I think $10K would have done it! LoL

Sorry when I mean ONLY,I actually meant that is his prime collection goal.

But to be honest if you were to bid $4,000 for this card then $5,000 shouldnt be a problem
