Johnny Gaudreau killed in accident...

I heard about this accident involving a drunk driver hitting two cyclists in New Jersey last night and then throughout the night, there were rumours that the victims were Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew. It was just confirmed. Absolutely devastating.

Unbelievable, so sad when something like this happens. Just wrong. I heard they were going to be involved in their sisters wedding the following day or something too. Just devastating for all involved.

I just woke up to this. All I can say is wow. I think he was a sure fire future HOF’er. My heart goes out to his family, especially his sister.

Everything about this is horrifically sad. Two brothers, in town for their sister’s wedding today, killed by a drunk driver right up the street from their parents house. Johnny had a wife and two babies at home. Not sure if the brother also had kids but either way that is a devastating loss for one family to have. As a father of two young kids myself I’m really feeling this one. RIP

That is an absolute tragedy. Could not believe it at first read. There are no words who can express that pain of this family right now. Just horrible.

Gord Miller said that Johnny’s brother’s wife is pregnant with their first child. Tragedy on top of tragedy on top of tragedy. I can’t even imagine the devastation

As a Blue Jackets fan this is heartbreaking. I am at a loss for words.

So the person that caused the fatality has turned down a pleas bargain of 35 years in prison. I think the jury to going to give him life. Any thoughts?
