I am a huge collector of Toews cards and have been storing images and keeping track of all of his Cup Limited Logos cards. Two amazing patches went up on ebay recently by the same seller and I checked my file and sure enough I had both of those numbers saved with plain patches.
Original 29/50

I think its pretty clear to me that they are the same numbers and same signatures, but looking for other opinions to confirm.

Not sure if the seller (dr.bob93) is aware of the fakes as he is a top rated seller with over 12000 feedbacks. Someone purchased the 29/50 with BIN http://www.ebay.ca/itm/221396195651?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649. and the 14/50 is still up

Thanks

That seller has been known to sell repatched cards for quite a while now. As far as I know it's not him doing the repatching. He's just the lister. I noticed he sold a 2 color repatched Kessel cup rc /99 the other day too.

in my op if the lister in this case knows those cards are tampered with he is just as bad as the person who is replaceing the patch.

why cant someone like that live closer to me.

I'm not a professional at picking out fake patches, by any means, but you can pretty much look at every single multi-colour patch this idiot is selling, and see some sort of tampering with the patch windows on them. This one here looks pretty rough.

Patches are fake. If you read the description, it says: "PLEASE NOTE I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT THIS CARD MAY HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH"

A fewother cards also contain this language.

That still doesn't make it okay to sell it, and even that is a bogus statement, because they obviously know it's fake. It's not "may be tampered with," it's "100% been tampered with, and they know it."

Notice how it's stated way down at the bottom of the auction body, which most buyers don't bother to read in the first place? It should be stated in the title it has a fake patch. Anything else is deception. This guy is a criminal.

Awww man, as a habs fan it kills me to say this lol.... But..... I totally agree with leafsfan1967!! Criminal period.

I just don't understand why these guys are still selling. I'm really tired of the same guys ruining the hobby and nothing being done. I'd say guys that work at ebay haven't got a sweet clue what fake patching is or the increase percent of profit from a one and 5 color. Have enough people complained?

Dean the problem is that eBay doesn't care. They make their money and that is the bottom line. Just like jerseys, golf clubs, ect. There are a TON of fakes and stolen goods on ebay. Its the worlds largest pawn shop. A real seedy one at that.

I think really for there to be a push on fake patchers it has to come from both the manufacturers and the hobbyist. Reading these threads all the time is like listening to a Johnny Mathis record that just won't stop.(For us mature collectors,If you like Johnny, take no offence) It's so painful never mind the guy who is getting ripped off.

I would not mind loading is ebay inbox with messages about fakes patching and proof. if we all do it, he might get tired. we'll need at least 20 people.

I have all ready sent both him and ebay an email with the proof and have not heard back from either of them. Although the message "please note that this card may have been tampered with" was not in the original listing.

Still not enough in my opinion!
