Malone is exactly the type of player the Pens need. Umberger would be a great addition. Both have cap hits that are reasonable.

....and both would come at not a very expensive return.

something about the initial xray was incorrect, showed an old
injury, they did an mri after which only showed a bone bruise.

Pens GM Ray Shero did a radio interview with Mark Madden Monday afternoon. He said he expects defenseman Kris Letang, who has been out of the lineup since suffering a concussion Nov. 26, to join his teammates at today's morning skate.
