WHAT!?!?!?!?! I feel like you could get a Cup auto from him /5 for half that, or maybe 1/4. That is crazy.

I would bet a dollar that the Lapointe ends just north of $600 by the time it's all said and done.

Yeah, but how many people are trying to put that set together? I figure there are probably at least 20-25 guys working on finishing that set, and hoping that they come across the big SPs. All I know is that I sold my Nilan - far too early

I had just looked at the completed auctions and seen the last couple of Nilan autos had gone for $350 and $425 I think.

SP + Habs fan+ Set builders =

Wait... Robinson and Shutt are SPs? When did they ever decide to sign less? I wish my Youppi's were SPs....

I'm not sure it's a case of them deciding to sign less as much as it is UD & the Habs collaborating to create some serious chase items.

To think, when the set first came out I baulked when the Nilan autos were going for $125, $130 etc... should have picked one up then, hind sight is AWESOME. :|

Wow man crazy... I was talking to a guy yesterday and he told me he had 60 doubles of the habs inks. I don't think he is lying either. Another guy who was there had about 20 including the Nilan and thought it was a common, and was waiting for the new Beckett before he sold them.

If Beckett comes out and doesn't reflect the true value there are gonna be some poor souls being ripped.

Or it could be a case of only signing X amount of cards for this product, since everything was organized and done by the Canadiens organization - UD was only the conduit. Keep in mind that the guys that are seriously SP'd also signed for the duals, AKA, triples and quads, and some for the Induction Inks. Once you sign all those, you only have Y amount of autos left before they fulfilled their end of the bargain.

If you noticed as far as the listed SPs go, Nilan seems to be the most plentiful - as he only signed for a single dual and the AKA, while the other guys had more multiples and/or Induction autos to sign.

If the OPG is any indication of what to expect in the hard copy, yeah people are going to be right up the Ganges without an oar, especially if they happen to have a Steve Shutt which is listed at $30. It's easy enough to accumulate doubles as some of the current players sell for pretty cheap, but if it's a retired player and they don't sign often or are shorter-printed, look out!

Also, as the Nilan was mentioned - about a week after the set came out there was a Nilan listed for $40. Between the time I saw that and went to hit the BIN it was pulled and re-listed at $125. Buddy caught on real fast.

was hoping someone with the opg could give me the bv of a couple cenntenial autos i have

**** duff inks
doug reisbrough inks
and houle"peanut' aka
thanks

Believe me when I tell you the OPG is useless for this set - you would be doing yourself a disservice to use its values on those guys. Duff usually sells very well (around $70 or so, I don't have my spreadsheet in front of me with all the recent sales), Risebrough does all right (40-50), and any of those AKA signings fetch big bucks.
