Just how bad is the mail right now?

Tracking is great because at least you know where it is sitting. Imagine not having it and wondering where your packages were?

Yes, it is likely at customs and getting some sort of mandatory quarantine. It’s frustrating but I am sure USPS let him know that delivery guarantees are not being honoured at this time (especially when crossing the border).
 
Ya, he was told that the package should get here in 10-12 days which isn't that bad, I am probably in the minority that believes that packages should not be going under any sort off quarantine b/c the last time I checked packages aren't people and can't get sick.

I don’t know enough about it to make an educated comment but I assume someone smarter then me figured out that it is a good idea to do.
 
My card showed up this morning, Russia to Ontario....84 days

This month I have also had:

Scarborough to Owen Sound (2 hour drive) 17days
Cornwall to Owen Sound 4 days
Quebec To Owen Sound 3 days
Buffalo NY to Owen Sound 19 days
 
I bought 2 cards from comc on March 10th Washington state to California & still haven’t seen them, but it’s the world we live in right now. I heard the new leader of the post office said the mail will be even slower his new plan. It’s all political now, with Trump comments about privatization of the PO.
 
I had a package sent regular mail from the US to Canada sent on June 26 and it arrived on July 22. About a month...which is what I expected during the time of COVID19.

I find that the ebay estimated shipping times are somewhat accurate.
 
How would you guys handle this delay? I sent an item to Canada on June 9th. Tracking always updates from Miami to Toronto once it arrives at Canadian customs. It has instead just appeared to be stuck in Miami. I have USPS doing a search for the package but haven’t heard anything back yet. The buyer is becoming more irate but I read in this very thread about massive delays on both sides of the border. It’s a $100 item, insurance wasn’t purchased or requested by either of us.

I have zero interest in sticking it to anyone but this buyer is making it seem like I am in the process of scamming him on this item. The card could very easily arrive next week and the buyer will have the item and the refund. How do you handle these situations? Non eBay, PayPal friends and family transaction.

That's the buyer's fault for not putting insurance and sending his package with priority or some sort of better service. Nothing anyone can do but be patient as most people are dealing with the same sort of thing.
 
Weird.The Canada Post App said my package was sent using International Inbound Express, but my buddy actually sent it using First Class. I should have the package by Wednesday, so that would be two weeks which is about normal, maybe a couple of days more.

I had one stuck at the LA distribution centre for over a month too. I received two or three other packages from the same seller that were sent after that one. It’s just so random right now. Frustrating for both sides but I would just ask that they remain patient. At least it is tracked so you know where it is currently sitting.

I sent some cards also on June 9th that haven't moved from the Miami center as well. I have also sent things later that did just fine. Figured I would let you know they haven't moved for me either. Hope everything finds its way through!
 
Has anyone received anything from Europe recently? What are your shipping/delivery timelines like?

I'm waiting on something from Russia (which usually takes awhile anyway) and it's been about 1 month, so I'm just curious to see what everyone else is dealing with.
 
I did a deal on eBay from Russia and it was 60+ days before it arrived. Completed a deal from the Netherlands and it took 2 weeks to get to me

Lives in Sweden but can confirm that the post seems very random in Europe too.

- Sent a package to Czech recently, took 1 week.
- Have received three different packages from the same seller in Germany. 2 of them took a couple of days. 1 took 5 weeks.
- Waiting on a package from US. It has been hold in London for 5 weeks.

So it's some heavy delays on some post in these regions aswell.

Waiting on 2 packages for one month as of today. One is from the US but the other is just from Hamilton, not quite two hours from me.

Canada Post missed a huge opportunity here to scale up a bit and shine, instead other groups like UPS, Canpar, Purolator took huge market share. Is a bit telling of the management of crown corporations.

I've been seeing an additional week within Canada and 2 to 3 weeks for items coming internationally.
 
Just received a package last Friday from the US (New York) and both parties confirmed it took about 2 weeks. This was sent through regular mail. Did a deal with the same person a month and half prior before and that previous package took about a month and this one was with tracking.
 
got my package and it took a little less than two weeks. the canada post app tracked it all the way to my mailbox which was kind of neat.
