As Lebron just surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s points record (Kareem’s was 38387) this was held for almost 40 years.
I thought I’d share my Kareem cards, as I’m building my collecting around picking up cards of his.

His 2nd year card 1970-71

As I continue to purchase more I’ll continue to update this post.

I didn't realize KAJ only had 1 3 pointer in his career which makes his point total more impressive then James

I didn’t realize that. Thanks for pointing that out!
I did a search to see if I could find out how many Lebron has. As of now he sits at 2,237 3
(3 pointers) which is 9th in all time 3 point shooters.

That Lew guy looks a lot like Kareem. They could be Twins separated at birth. LOL
Nice cards. I love the older stuff.

I really like his 72-73 All-Star for 2 reasons. 1st - the player whose back is on the card is Wilt Chamberlain
(As Kareem & Wilt are friends) and 2nd that he is in mid sky hook.

My dad went to Power Memorial in NYC with Lew. I think there was a two-year difference in ages. My dad played JV ball (he was a measly 5'6" at the time) while Lew was on Varsity, but they practiced together some. I'll have to dig through my dad's old yearbooks to see what pictures are there.

I like how he almost has to fold in half to fit on the card. lol

Beauty cards. Thanks for sharing some historic vintage with us.
