How legit is this? If true, better to keep it under wraps until the right deal comes along. Otherwise, it's just garbage offers.

Agent denied it(why wouldn't he?) but another reporter(might have been the same reporter) said he told people he still wanted out after the Bronze medal game.
Bob Mackenzie said he can't confirm or deny this but teams are phoning to see if he is actually available and the Canucks are listening. He suggested Canucks might ask for Stepan + from the Rangers and Johansen + from Columbus.
TSN panel had predictions and one guy said the Hawks, Aaron Ward said the Blue Jackets, and can't remember the other prediction.
I don't like Kesler so I prefer Columbus to not go after him. Depending on the price though, he would help them a lot though. But no to trading Johansen, I don't see JD/Jarmo trading Johansen.

The other reporter (Bruce Arthur) said that he heard that Kesler wanted out after the bronze medal game not that he heard it himself.

Kesler's body is battered & beaten; he has peaked imo. Need to learn from Bertuzzi experience; he was never the same after the trade. Hopefully Gillis doesn't eff this up.

No Chicago, please no. Callahan sure, Kesler, hell no. We do not need his antics, we don't have any that play his style and we don't need one. Do the Hawks need a legit number 2 center? Yes. But not at the expense of bringing in a guy who puts targets on every one of his teammates backs. They won without a second true upper level center, I'd rather try doing it again instead of bringing in a guy like this.

Kesler is a warrior, of course Nuck fans would be sour to lose him.
Everyone hates the guy as an opponent but he has been clutch and absolute warrior. I think this is a great move for him to try and win and the Nucks to start a rebuild.
