Kesler Won't Play Until December

His agent said this is the case following shoulder and wrist surgeries for the Canucks number 2 center.

Looks like it may well be a tough start to the season for Vancouver.

sit him out till the last month of the season so he has something for the playoffs.

Maybe if he didn't dive so much maybe he wouldn't have these upper body type injuries. lol.

He shouldn't have rushed back last year. Plus took his sweet old time to get surgery done too. Not sure why. Hopefully, he learned from last year.

I know that he's a competitor, but by rushing back, you're not doing anyone any favours. So do yourself and the team a favour and take your time to heal and get back strong. Kesler is going to miss an entire summer of working out and pre-season training, etc. Although he could be healthy by December, he should take another month for conditioning, and start back in the line up slowly. I don't think anyone is going to steal Kesler's spot.

Same thing with Raymond last year. Just because you're cleared to play, it doesn't mean that you're ready to play.

Hope this means they'll give Schroeder his shot this year based on his solid progress. One man's loss is another's gain.

He won't miss any games anyways, it's a moot point to come back in December.
