So I just got back from visiting my folks and waiting for me at home was a UD envelope! Must be my A. Kostitsyn Patch auto rc that I have benn waiting for since 8/2006!

Oh wait that's not a patch, it's pure cotton! :| Is this normal? Guess the back of the card should read "authentic piece of Cotton swab" worn by Kostitsyn in a photo shoot...

Can one of you Diamond Members send me a pm please with who I need to contact in regards to getting this taken care of? Please :)...

It's a unique card, might get a premium. :D If you ask for a replacement, you might get a 1 colour white patch. I would rather have the unique cotton card then the 1 colour patch card;):rolleyes:
 
Every try to eat an apple in one bite? That's what UD is going through. Hopefully less of this sort of thing will happen once they don't have basketball and baseball to deal with.
 
The sig is ugly too as if Kostitsyn was fed up with having to sign the same set of cards for the third time or something.

Maybe it's like a new bottle of medicine. The cotton ball means it hasn't been tampered with and your real patch is beneath the cotton.

Sorry to see that Lionel. That's pretty lame that they couldn't have taken the two or three seconds to see that the card was obviously not right.
 
I just checked on ebay and there is a gold Patch /46 of Kostitsyn and that has red so I assume it's a patch unless it's red cotton :).

Don't get me wrong, kudos for UD for making the card after 3 years, I thought maybe the definition of a "patch" changed to cotton while I was taking a break..

I more dumbfounded and bewildered than angry.. Guess on the plus side if I run out of Qtips I can use this card now..lol

in all seriousness that is sad. Hopefully the rectify that card for you. And i am surprised they haven't given bonus cards to everyone who has waited 3 years for these redemptions
 
Lionel, it could be from Habs crest on the front - they do not use twill for the crest, but it is cloth like the Wings and Leafs use. If it's jersey it's one thing, but that would be my educated guess as to your piece of patch - likely from the H in the middle of a white jersey

Sorry about the dull patch, L...as Art stated, it's likely a hunk of the Habs crest, but who knows with UD anymore. :cool:

I'm just happy to see confirmation that UD actually reproduced the Kostitsyn Cuppers after all this time :beer:...kudos to them on that point.
