Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle
The two are introduced. The crowd is going wild as they circle and take wrestling stances. They lock up. Joe backed into the corner. Fans are already chanting, “This is awesome!” They break. Again they circle. Angle goes with a single leg takedown. Joe gets to the ropes and breaks. Joe with a kick to Angle and now punches and a head butt. Kicks to the head of a now downed Angle. Joe picks up Angle by the head and delivers another punch to the head. Angle whipped to the ropes, he hangs on and kicks Joe in the head. Angle hits an Overhead Belly To Belly Suplex and clotheslines Joe over the top ropes to the outside. Joe catches the foot of Angle, yanks him out. Has Angle’s feet straddle Joe’s head as if in a powerbomb set up, but instead he swings Angle into the guardrail headfirst. Inside the ring now, Joe rolls Angle over for a pinfall. Angle battles back sends Joe to the corner. Angle tries to Spear him but Joe moves, Angle meets the steel ring post shoulder-first, and falls to the outside. Joe then flies through the ropes and hits a Suicide Elbow Smash onto Angle. Joe brings Angle 3/4 around the perimeter of the ring and drives Angle into the steel ring steps. Joe and Hebner jabbering a bit in the ring. Hebner lays a count down on Angle while he is outside the ring. Angle makes his way inside the ring, busted wide open. Joe head butts Angle in the wound and gets Angle’s blood on his own forehead. Joe now trying to rip open the cut wit h his hands. The blood is just flowing out of Angle’s head. Angle battles back with punches, he hits the ropes and Joe hits a snap slam. Tow count. Angle goes into the ropes, shoots back toward Joe and a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker by Joe onto Angle and a two count. Fans are still going crazy. Angle in the corner and Joe lifts him to the top in a seated position and slaps him in the face. Angle delivers two slaps of his own. Angle then slaps on a front face lock on Joe. Joe picks him up and turns; Angle hits a nice Spinning DDT. Two count for Angle. Blood still pouring from Angle’s head. Both men make their way to their feet. They exchange blows one after another. Angle in the corner, Joe charges, Angle moves and now ****s a German Suplex!..He hangs on…ANOTHER GEMRAN! Angle goes for a third and gets him up but cannot hang on and plants Joe face first. Two count for Angle. Angle tries an Angle Slam. Joe floats out and hits an arm drag reversal. Angle in the corner. Joe hits a Pelle Kick to the head of Angle. Joe now sets up the Muscle Buster and hits it!!!. ANGLE KICKS OUT AT TWO AND A HALF! Both men down. Fans chanting “this is awesome!” Joe slaps on the Rear Naked Choke. Angle takes him over and rolls out of it. Angle kicks to the gut and hits the Olympic Slam. ONE….TWO….KICK OUT! Fans chanting “MAKE HIM TAP” Angle rips his shoulder straps off and powers up. He slaps on the Ankle Lock!! Fans going crazy! Joe is screaming in pain trying to get to the ropes. Fans now chanting for Joe who rolls over but then Angle keeps his grasp and rolls Joe back over. Joe screaming and rolls over. Angle hangs on but turns his back to Joe. Joe reaches up and slaps on the Rear Naked Choke. Angle is fading. Angle now slaps on the Ankle Lock! While in the choke. Angle has it on full strength now. Angle picks up Joe and hits the Olympic Slam! Angle puts his straps on and then takes them back off and applies the Ankle Lock and falls to the matt this time with a Leg Grapevine. SAMOA JOE TAPS! JOE TAPS! Angle takes the match via submission and ends Samoa Joe’s undefeated streak. Your Winner: Kurt Angle
After the match Joe gets a mic and says he can realize who is the better man on one night. Joe says that if Angle is half a man he’ll give him a rematch. Fans chant “One more time!” Joe extends his hand, Angle goes to shake then pulls back, wipes the blood off of his head, flicks it at Joe, and leaves. Joe then says that he guesses they have to do it the hard way. And he limps out.
