Because I think it's not only looking for sportsmanship and gentlemanship (is that word?), but high end play. Which is why the Byng usually goes to a star-type player.

Yep...which was why I put a winking face next to the Wellwood. Nathan, if Ax or Wellwood had point totals rivalling those 2 this season, I'm sure they'd be under consideration. Wellwood with 80 points would be a lock for life with his 2 PIMs a season average

This is one trophy I am glad no Kings are on the ballot:dance: They should change the name of the trophy to the Gretzky trophy.
