Well, as this year draws to a fairly sucessful close I thought I would treak myself to one box to finish it out. Stopped by the LCS and they didnt have much. A few boxes of UD 1 (been there, done that) and two boxes of BD left. BD it was. Here are the hits (no pics now as I am work, lol. Dont tell the boss)

Double Diamonds
P. Kane, Dionne (DAMAGED), Zetterberg, RNH, B. Schenn, Ranford

Triples w/rookies
Shanahan, Ciccaelli (DAMAGED), Modano, McDermid, Krug, Cornet (DAMAGED)

Quads (only one)
Glennie (RC)

Rubys #/100
Burrows, Miller

Auto
Wandell (why oh why)

Jerseys
Stafford, Eriksson (blech)

Ice RC M. Sauve #/999

And the saver of the box.......

#4 Bobby Orr Lustrous Greats :yess:

Now, I am not one to complain (too much anyways) but the box was missing one Quad Diamond and quite a few damaged cards. Do I have a right to complain? I did get the Orr, two Rubys and an auto but still was shorted and have damaged cards. LMK what you guys think.

Thanks for the look and all are AVAILABLE.

Doug.

to me, it would not really matter about the extra hits.

One of the guaranteed (advertised) hits was missing, and damaged cards are never acceptable.

I would be happy with what I have, but that is no excuse to not ask for the defective product to be replaced (the damaged cards)

Nice hit on the Orr though, if you decide to sell it, it should pay for the box.

Its Black Diamond, there prone to rough corners.I dunno if its the packaging or the cards are soft, i have yet to open a BD box where all the cards where mint or better.

Great hit on the Orr.

You are supposed to get 2 quads per box on average, so really nothing to complain about. (My first box was missing a quad as well.) The damaged cards are a different story in my opnion, but is it worth it for the double<><> and triple<><><>?

Happy New Year.

Paul

My experience has been 2 quads per box, one Rookie Gems and one All-Star generally.

But, I'm pretty sure their boxes are a little swayed considering the two boxes I busted today. One was FULL of sweet stuff, and the other one was crappy.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, so check out my post in show/tell!

Doug. Over the cases upon cases upon cases upon cases of BD I have opened over the years, there have been a total of 13 boxes that did not have the advertised two quads. However, another box in the case had 3 (sometimes 4) in it. Over a case, you get exactly what they advertise.

Doesn't help you much, but you happened to get one of the shorted boxes.

I owuld definitely send back the damaged ones, but as for the missing Quad, you are SOL (as I have found out in the past).

And the Orr more than makes up for the quad. :D
