Hi guys

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been online this last week, and haven't been picking up items as frequently over the last couple of months .... well there is a good reason for that, meet the latest addition to our family ;

Mille Lauren Skelton
Born 19th March 08

This is our first child and has / will change my life forever.

I've been thinking of a way to build a collection that I will be able to continue with her - was looking for some suggestions.

I had originally thought of collecting somebody who shared her birthday - but could anyone give me any thoughts on somebody. It's a long shot, but did anyone make their NHL debut on 19th March 08 ?

Anyway, just wanted to share my good news

CONGRATULATIONS!! on your new addition. Has more hair already that either of my kids did when they were born!. I think unless I'm mistaken that Darren Helm of the Red Wings made his debut on the 18 or 19 th of March. He has cards already in itg stuff for Canadian juniors

A big congrats Mal, being a dad is the coolest. Enjoy every second as time flies by. My son is about to turn 7 and it seems like only yesterday that he was born.

Congrats!! My daughter is 9 months old and it's amazing what a difference she's made in my life.

As for collecting, I've picked up a few boxes that were released in the year she was born and I'm keeping them unopened for a few years until she's old enough (if/when?) to appreciate breaking them with her old man.

Congrats Mal! My advice is just spend as much time with her as you can, to ensure she likes the things you like.... the rest will follow from there.

What can I say my friend? That is the ultimate thing that can happen to anyone, becoming a parent.

I know you had mentioned through PM to me things you hoped to accomplish in your life with your child once she was born. I hope all of it comes to fruition.
