So, I haven’t been to any LCS in a few weeks. I swung up to DJ’s Comics in North Haven and JB’s in Milford. The drive between them is about 30 minutes but about 15 to the North or South from where I live in CT.
I spent about the same at each location.
@ DJ’s I made arrangements to purchase a case of 21-22 Artifacts from the owner and some 800ct boxes in the near future. While there I purchsed a pack of the 2023 Archive Signatures Retired Players receiving a /39 Tony Perez ‘86 Topps Records Breakers. Baseball? Yeah, this is the only Baseball that I like buying.
The hockey…(2) packs of 21-22 Premier. The ARP were both /249, Bowers & Nils Lundkvist, Pinto Super Rookie Auto /99, Vejmelka RC Red Auto, Larkin & M Tkachuk /299 base, Swayman, Lundell and Jeannot gold RC /199, Pavelski & Byfield retro jersey /300, McDavid base jersey, and Pinto Patch-tacular chest logo /25!!!
@ JB’s I picked up 21-22 SPx, 22-23 SPx, (2) boxes of 22-23 ICE. The 21-22 SPx yielded McTavish Finite Rookies /399, Jason Robertson Radiance FX base, Scott Perunovich Winning Materials, and SPx Rookie Signatures of Parker Kelly. The 22-23 SPx yielded Meier base blue /100, Jiricek Black Obsidian RC Jersey /499, Quinn Radiance FX red /249, Hallander Finite Rookies Silver /49, Kochetkov Rookie Auto Jersey /375. The results from the ICE boxes were Ovy jersey, Kadri base Greyscale /99, coolcuts of Caufield and Kochetkov. The Ice Premieres were all parallels: /599 green (Guhle & Guenther), /299 red (Eyssimont), /99 gold (Korczak).
One other thing from one of the ICE boxes: did you know that if you pull a Neon Ice Crystals that it comes in a penny sleeve? Why, yes, yes it does. Not a bad pull if you ask me whoever it is, but you can’t beat one of the best goal scorers in the league: Auston Matthews!!!
(And if you don’t know, these are /10!!!)
Not a bad day…spent way too much but happy that ICE did not disappoint. Like last year after two boxes and a Swayman Exquisite Auto /25…I am done with this product.
