When I was at the Fall Expo I opened up some of the latest Leaf/ITG ultimate, Not too bad for a first attempt but I did see quite a few issues that would not have cut it with just ITG as they took great pride in making sure that scratched cases or damaged cards would never have made it to pack out.

Long story short I pulled a smudged Yzerman sig and a scratched up Lindbergh base card (case) and showed the Leaf guys that were at the show. They showed concern over the cards and asked that I contact them to see about doing something since the exact amount of cards were produced and nothing was made as back up CS cards.

After emailing (wed/thurs) and getting a response saying that I would get an email when the staff was back in their office on the monday I have heard nothing back and that was around six weeks ago. I have since fired off another two repeat emails incase my email was accidentally deleted or what have you but no response at all.

Has anyone else been in contact with them and have they found any type of success or do they just sweep things under the rug.

I am not sure who you are contacting, but I am the Leaf CEO and can sure if you have a problem it will be handled. Email me now directly at [email protected]

I will handle asap.. Please include who you emailed with dates and times so I can handle accordingly...

With all this being said, I am confident that your situation is an anomaly and on the whole Leaf's first effort was as a strong as any previous effort in recent memory for Ultimate (especially our ability to massively cut the print run to assure collectibility)..

Brian - I first want to commend you for taking an active role with collectors and being a part of this site. It makes a significant difference with those who collect the cards you produce and adds to the credibility of your company and products.

For what it's worth, I have collected random cards that fit my collection from previous releases, however, this is the first year that I have actively pursued Ultimate cards. In fact there are 3 very impressive subsets that I'm attempting to complete (Heroes patch, Super Swatch patch and Goalie Legacy patch). I think the card design is excellent and the oversized patch pieces featuring vintage jerseys is welcome change from previous sets. My only criticism is the lack of player logos on the artwork/ photographs (I know it can't be helped given the licensing issue, however, it does take away from the design).

All in all, I have to say great work on this set and you've converted me to an avid collector for ITG/Leaf Ultimate.

Mr. Gray, I would like to thank you very much for such a quick response. I do love to collect ITG product and hope to continually add to my collection with new product you have to offer.

Mr. Gray, it's great to see you play an active role on this board and put your foot forward to make things right. If you bring the same passion to the hobby as Dr. Price, you'll maintain a loyal following.

Happy Holidays!
