Leaf product

I live in London,Ontario,
Why is it so hard to get Leaf products in my area??
Can anyone shed some light on this subject.

Many Leaf products are really limited. In my area, I have to go online when I decide to buy some. But its understandable, with some sets having like 150 cases produced. Leaf is not a big machine like UD putting out thousands and thousands of cases.

The quick answer: Canadian distributors bend over whenever Upper Deck asks them to.

Since they don't have an actual NHL license, why doesn't Leaf just sell cards directly to customers? Is it just to force shops to purchase under performing product to gain access to high end product?

The two major Canadian distributors can and do carry Leaf product. However they cannot carry any product that has a hockey element to it. Stores can order Leaf hockey from a smaller distributor that has an exclusive agreement with them.

This is untrue. One distributor cut out Leaf products altogether. Also, they can carry any product they like from Leaf, they just CHOOSE not to based on indirect threats from Upper Deck. It really is ridiculous.

Actually, UD presented distributors with an agreement which requires them not to carry hockey products which directly compete with UD (such as Leaf)...

We are in a massive antitrust lawsuit against Upper Deck over their "behavior" and have complete confidence we will prevail if it actually goes to trial...

(p.s.- the distributor that quit carrying Leaf altogether actually emailed us and admitted this was a byproduct of their inability to carry our hockey)....

This is a Hockey product, so Hockey memorabilia only. That was a multi sport so it fit better in the schematics.
